in the works…

Unfortunately, our food truck park project is currently on hold. After purchasing the perfect piece of land right at the heart of the Bitterroot Valley in December 2020, we waited for two long years for DEQ approval for well and septic on the property. During that time, we watched construction costs and interest rates skyrocket. When we finally received the go-ahead to build in April 2023, the new cost of our project was just too much, and we have decided to put everything on hold with the hopes that costs will finally come down. Please keep your fingers crossed along with ours that we will be able to move forward again soon with our park!

Roots & Bitters
food truck park

Montana’s first food truck park will be located in Florence, nestled in the Bitterroot Valley and bordered by the Sapphire Mountains to the east and the Bitterroot Mountains to the west.

The food trucks will serve a vast variety of delicious foods, which people can enjoy in both indoor and outdoor settings along with wine, beer, cocktails, coffee and non-alcoholic beverages from the full-service bar.

The park will be a gathering center for friends, family and neighbors where they can relax and enjoy a range of cuisines in good company. The family-friendly outdoor space includes seating, a fun playground, seasonal outdoor activities, and fire pits.

Play a spirited game of bocce or cornhole in the afternoon sun. Watch movies against the backdrop of sunsets and starry skies. In the winter--because Montanans will gather in any temperature--you can enjoy conversation and food and drink around cozy fire pits with friends.

Tourists? We’ll welcome them too, and the park will provide a friendly introduction to our state’s incredible farmers and food producers, master chefs and bakers. This gathering place will provide visitors with an opportunity to directly contribute to the local food economy.

The food truck park will be the ultimate love letter to Montana’s food system, a nod to the state’s love for community as well as its hardy independence. With local food, we rely on our land and hard-working people--and the park will be a fun way to explore Montana’s delicious possibilities together.
