WE ARE CLOSED FOR THE SEASON. WE’LL SEE YOU IN 2024!

Locally sourced food from Roots & Bitters food truck!

We’re so grateful to the Missoula and Bitterroot communities for supporting us in our first season. We had a lot of fun working out the kinks and sharing our food! We look forward to next season!!

Our menu focuses on local ingredients as they are available seasonally. R&B signature items that we serve all the time are our Smashburgers with Lifeline cheese, pickled onions, and our R&B sauce and Fried Lifeline “Montzarella” Schnitzel Sammies with seasonal toppings such as roasted Roma tomatoes and basil pesto. We have discovered that Montana grows some of the best legumes in the world, and we are constantly experimenting with them. Our latest iteration featured on our regular menu is Panelle, a Sicilian chickpea fritter that has the perfect amount of crunch and is vegetarian and gluten-free! Fritters are something we love to experiment with, so you will find different versions playing with seasonal vegetables and fruits. Our most popular so far seem to be the onion fritters and the sweet ricotta fritters with Flathead cherry sauce. Some ingredients you can always find in our menu items:

  • Ground beef from Foothill Farm in Mission Valley exclusively for our smashburgers.

  • Lifeline Organic cheeses from Lifeline Farm in Victor.

  • Artisanal small-batch cheeses from Flathead Lake Cheese. Our favorite is Joe’s Hawaiian Shirt Feta.

  • Our homemade burger buns made daily in our truck from Organic MT flour.

  • Grist Mill Bianco in our grilled sammies, crafted in Missoula using MT-grown Organic grain.

  • Veggies, fruits, and herbs sourced from Western Montana Growers Cooperative.

  • Chickpea flour from 41 Grains in Circle, MT and chickpeas grown with Timeless Seeds in Ulm, MT in our chickpea burgers. We also use chickpea flour in some of our fritters.

  • Eggs from Spencer Valley View Farm in Plains, MT.

  • Yogurt from Kalispell Creamery in Kalispell, MT.

  • MT grown and produced safflower oil from the Oil Barn in Big Sandy, MT is all we use. We also recycle the oil here in MT.

All of our signature sauces are handcrafted and sourced from local and/or Organic ingredients.
